MagicalFiles
Document Management System
The
MagicalFiles document management system allows users
to import and store computer files such as word processing
documents, multimedia presentations, spreadsheets,
and image files. Documents can be stored in private
folders for individual viewing, or public folders,
where users can share files. MagicalFiles are stored
on a secure server environment and are protected with
Internet SSL transaction encryption technology.
The MagicalViewer is a premium service that is offered
to enhance the view of files in MagicalDesk. MagicalViewer
allows users access to 250 of the most commonly used
business applications, such as MS Word, MS Excel,
Lotus 1-2-3, and graphics files from scanners and
digital cameras, even when the user's PC does not
have the appropriate application software available.
MagicalViewer allows users to easily manipulate files
and to integrate a file into a new document regardless
of the application or platform in which the files
were originally created.
Integrated
Web E-mail
Essential for business communication,
the MagicalDesk web-based email is the centerpiece
of the integrated suite. The email system supports
the standard SMTP and POP3 Internet protocol, which
allows it to be used as a front end to multiple
email accounts. Emails can be converted into to-do
items, calendar events, and Internet bookmarks.
Users also can transfer files to and from their
MagicalFiles and between their personal or office
email system with ease. Additionally, the email
system is designed to support multi-lingual email
communications.
Web-based
Calendaring and Scheduling
Users can maintain a private calendar
or share a calendar with others in their office
or family. The feature allows multiple users to
access the same account to schedule an appointment
together, such as a work group meeting, parent/teacher
conference or a doctor’s appointment.
Address
Book
The address book stores contact information.
Users can call up the address book from the email
module and send emails to multiple persons in the
address book without having to remember the recipient’s
email address. The user also can put multiple names
in as a "group" within the address book for faster
mailing to multiple recipients.
Personal
To Do List
With the personal to-do list, users
can convert an email or calendar event into a personal
to-do item. For example, an email from a colleague
regarding the due date of a report can be converted
into a to-do item with all of the details, including
graphics, from the original email.
Personal
Bookmarks
The MagicalDesk bookmarks feature
allows users to convert web addresses received from
emails into their own bookmarks, which users can
rename for easier reference. This allows for bookmarks
to be archived for retrieval from any browser. These
bookmarks also can be synchronized with the users'
PC browser bookmarks.
Synchronization
This optional downloadable application
allows users to synchronize files automatically
between their local hard disk and their MagicalDesk,
ensuring that users will have the most current copy
of their files on whichever system they are accessing.
This feature also allows for the synchronization
of a user's bookmarks between their MagicalDesk
account and any hard drive they use, no matter what
browser they are using.
